I finally pulled the trigger on buying a good computer to manage and edit my photographs. iMac was my choice after doing a lot of research on all other possibilities.
I am not a rookie as far as computers go. I do this for a living (not photography, but computers) for a living and had been doing it for over 16 years. All of my life I have spent using Windows and command line UNIX / Linux.
Last few days I had been learning the ropes of using a Mac, and simple things that I knew to do on Windows needed research on iMac to find the equivalents. So I decided to write those down with references to my original sources, starting with the next post.
